Stainless Steel 310S Welding Rods is medium austenitic with low carbon. It is non-magnetic, long-lasting, good mechanical strength. SS welding rods are suitable for high-temperature applications. The austenitic stainless steel 310/310S is a heat-resistant alloy. It is capable of withstanding oxidation in calmly cycled circumstances. The presence of nickel and chromium offers excellent general corrosion resistance as well as resistance to oxidation. SS 310 is typically utilized at cryogenic temperatures, where it has exceptional durability down to -450 degrees Fahrenheit. SS 310S is a low-grade variation of SS 310. It gives better resistance to corrosion and oxidation. SS 310 Welding Rod is broadly used in a moderately carburizing ambiance. Stainless Steel 310 is a medium carbon alloy of Nickel and Chromium 25 % and 20 %, respectively. Grade 310 S is a low carbon version of grade 310. Carbon percentage in grade 310 is 0.25 % whereas 0.08% in 310S. Grade 310S minimizes carbide precipitation and gives high weldability. Other elements present in the alloy are Silicon, Phosphorous, Sulphur, and Manganese in fewer amounts. It can be formed by forging, heavy work, and the annealing process.
